My artwork in Elegant magazine

Cover of the March issue I am featured in

So today was a great day!! I got the official notice that my work had been published in Elegant magazine. I had known about it for a while, but didn't really want to say anything until I actually saw it printed because, well, you never know what can happen right? and it would have been devastating to announce it and then it not happen..LOL

When I first submitted my work, I never thought I would get a response back, but when I received the acceptance email, I was ecstatic! I couldn't believe that someone would want to have my work in their magazine, like really? it's just me.

It was crazy to see my name and work printed in the pages of a magazine, just reading my name on the contents page was like, WOW! that's me!! reading my bio (which is kinda awkward, but very flattering at the same time) and flipping through the pages seeing each of my paintings looking back at me, each one looking smug and proud. It was definitely a great moment.

So after my initial shock of actually seeing my name in print, I of course had to spread the good news, and had it posted on my Facebook page, instagram, twitter, website and yeah you know all the places I could LOL.

It's been a great start to the year so far, with the gallery showing, now this and a few more things in the works that I am really excited about and can't wait to share, but like they say, don't count your eggs before they hatch ;) and since I am still kind of nervous about things moving so quickly in such a short period of time, I want to make sure everything is set in stone before I officially mention anything.

Wow this is about me !

OMG that's me name!

Hopefully soon you will be hearing some more great news about a few things that will be going on in my life this year and as soon as I can, you guys will be the first to know.

I really hope things continue to go as they have up to now, but in the meantime, I'm just going to continue on painting because it's what I love to do, it's my release from the world and the one place I feel totally in control.

If you ever have any ideas or comments about my work or what I should paint, feel free to message me with them, I always love to hear what people have to say and inspiration sometimes comes from a great idea that I can take and mold to meet my style and what I want to portray.
